Waitsburg Christian Church is serving our growing community by seeking to provide diapers to families in need throughout the Touchet Valley. According to the National Diaper Bank Network, without clean diapers: babies are exposed to potential health risks and toxic stress; mothers are at risk for increased maternal depression; parents are unable to access childcare, which requires a daily supply of diapers; and, parents miss work or school. We desire to build a small, gospel-centered, low-barrier diaper bank at the Waitsburg Christian Church to reliably and consistently meet needs for parents, caregivers and babies in our community. Objectives: Stock enough (roughly 1,650 or 33 boxes of 50) diapers to serve 5+ newborns or infants (diaper size newborn to size 7) monthly September 2024 through September 2025.
